 Alexander Mironov

Alexander Mironov is an honorary architect of Russia and the chief architect of the Group of companies «INTARSIA». During the 6 years that he has worked in the company he implemented several large scale projects, which are of great importance for both Saint-Petersburg and Russia. Alexander Mironov is the architect as project manager for adaptation and new construction in the framework of historical buildings of the Kriukov barracks for the Central Navy Museum accommodation. The author was faced with quite a challenge – within the limits of the existing historical building, to expand the area of the future museum so that it would be possible to accommodate a great number of large-size exhibit items. As a result, in 2010 in the city the Navy museum appeared, the most advanced in the world, and the building itself after reconstruction and restoration was entered in the «White Book» of the St. Petersburgers Worldwide Club. In 2010 in St. Petersburg the new building of the Molodezhny theatre was opened, which was also built to the project by Alexander Mironov. There it was necessary to combine modern architecture, technologies and the theatre’s needs with elements under protection of the Committee for Landmark and Monuments protection (KGIOP). There were the famous Shukhov girders (metal structures of the end of XIX century), and two wings that perfectly and harmoniously wed with the new building and became its integral part, owing to the architect’s conception.
