Restoration

It was in restoration works where the history of the Group of companies «INTARSIA» started. In the course of time, however, when the construction company and the architect bureau became parts of the holding, the decision was taken to form restoration into separate large line of business. In 2008 the affiliated company was established – the Restoration company «INTARSIA». The company is under direction of Pavel Mikhailov who has worked in the Group of companies «INTARSIA» since 2004.

The «Restoration company «INTARSIA» offers full range of services in project designing and restoration, adaptation (reconstruction) of monuments of history and culture.

Having worked for just several years, the company has won trust of the largest state authorities. One of the key clients of the company is the Committee on the state control, use and protection of monuments of history and culture of the Administration of St. Petersburg.

The General Director of the restoration company – Pavel Mikhailov, was born in 1951. In 1977 he has graduated summa cum laude the faculty of mechanization of the Leningrad agriculture institute. Since 1991 Mr. Mikhailov has worked in executive positions in the sphere of banking.

Since 1996 Pavel Mikhailov works in the field of restoration of objects of cultural heritage of St. Petersburg. From 2001 till 2004 he held the position of the director of the «Directorate of the State Customer for repair and restoration works on monuments of history and culture» in St. Petersburg. Since 2004 Mr. Mikhailov has been the Deputy Director General of the OOO «INTARSIA». Since 2008 he became the General Director of the OOO «Restoration company «INTARSIA» (which is a part of the Group of companies «INTARSIA»).

While working in the sphere of restoration of objects of culture heritage Mr. Mikhailov took part in projects of restoration for Smolny Cathedral, Kochubey’s Osobniak (Mansion-House), the «Glory Chariot» on the Arch of the General Staff Building, restoration of the Alexander Column on the Palace Square, of the Russian Academy of Fine Arts, restoration of sculptures «The Horse Tamres» at the Anichkov Bridge, of Gerogievsky (George’s) Hall of the Mikhailovsky Castle, of the Senate buildings as well as of many others.

In 2003 Pavel Mikhailov was awarded with the medal «In memory of Tercentenary of Saint-Petersburg». In 2007 he was presented with a merit badge of the Ministry of culture and mass communication of the Russian Federation.
